Wayne Newton's name was added to the Stardust Las Vegas marquee Jan. 20, 2000 after he signed a deal to perform 6 shows a week, 40 weeks per year, for 10 years, at the Stardust in the Wayne Newton Theatre. This photo was shot in 2001. Newton's name was removed in 2005 when Boyd Gaming decided to close the Stardust...which was demolished in March 2007 and replaced by the Echelon.
